Important Note

IMPORTANT NOTE

The KN95 NR rated, GB approved protective respirator, follows an equivalent testing standard comparable to the European EN 149 respiratory protective devices, and therefore the KN95 NR is classified internationally for individual personal protective equipment (PPE). Due to the magnificent surge in global demand for respiratory protective respirators because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the new rules and regulations now confirm that KN95 NR respirators do not fall under the category of “medical equipment”. Effective immediately, the “medical import license” is not required by importers internationally. This means any person or company, anywhere in the world, can import our product successfully!

Our KN95 NR Protective Respirator is approved by one of the few laboratories accepted by the CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) and fully complies with current worldwide standard requirements, certification and classification, for protection respirators! As a result, our KN95 NR respirators can now be imported as well to the European Union and to the United States of America.

VCare take pride in putting the health and safety of our clients first by constantly practicing the highest international standards of quality in all our products as our top priority.

Cautions & Limitations

CAUTIONS & LIMITATIONS

Limitations
This single use filtering half-respirator should NOT be used in the following situations:

  • oxygen concentration is less than 17% (oxygen-deficient atmospheres)
  • contaminants or their concentrations are unknown or are immediately dangerous to life or health
  • contaminants concentrations exceed levels fixed by applicable health and safety standards or 12 (10 in UK, FIN, D, I, S) x WEL*
  • in the presence of toxic or radio-active contaminants
  • in the presence of gases or vapors
  • firefighting
  • Avoid high temperature over 50°C or high humidity

Caution
We recommend users to ensure that the level of protection offered by the respirator is sufficient for the type and concentration of contaminant(s) in the work area.

  • For use only by trained and qualified personnel
  • Leak-tightness is unlikely to be achieved if the respirator is worn against a beard or facial stubble
  • This respirator does not supply oxygen
  • Never substitute, modify, add, or omit parts
  • Failure to properly use and maintain this product could result in injury or death

*WEL: Workplace Exposure Limit.

CHECKING BEFORE USE

The user shall ensure that the respirator is suitable for the intended application before entering the contaminated area.

Features & Benefits

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Features

  • Protects against novel coronavirus
  • Protects against virus, bacteria, tuberculosis
  • Protects against moderate levels of dust
  • Protects against solid and liquid aerosols
  • Applicable for plastering and sanding
  • Ultra-Lightweight respirator (6g)
  • 5 Layer filtering protection

Preformed and colored nose bridge to save time to perfectly adjust the respirator and to instantly identify its protection level. Twin elastic straps, ultra-flexible and resistant. Ultra-Lightweight respirator (6g) to reduce wearers’ fatigue. No latex, no silicone, nor PVC.

Benefits
Protection and wearer acceptance guaranteed during periods of extended use. Added safety offered. Exceptional level of comfort. Soft Polypropylene inner layer, reducing fiber drops and increases the wearing comfort. No need to change the respirator for the normal period of use. Prevents irritation. No risk of allergies to latex. No usage restrictions. Environmentally friendly.

Wearing & Adjustment

WEARING & ADJUSTMENTS

1. Cup the respirator in the hand, the headbands downward.

2. Place the respirator under the chin, the nose-bridge upward and outside.

3. Place the lower headband around the neck, below the ears.

4. Holding the respirator against the face with one hand, place the top headband above the ears, around the crown of the head.

5. For respirators with adjustable head straps, adjust the tension by pulling on the headbands (to reduce the tension, press on the fastener flaps).

6. CHECK FOR LEAK-TIGHTNESS AS FOLLOWS:

  • place both hands over the respirator and – exhale sharply for a mask without exhalation valve – inhale deeply for a respirator with exhalation valve
  • if you feel air leaks around the edges, re-adjust the respirator by tightening the nose-bridge and/or increasing tension of the headbands (by tying a knot)
  • repeat the procedure until satisfactory face-fit has been achieved. N.B.: requirements for leak-tightness are unlikely to be achieved if the respirator is worn against a beard or facial stubble.

Using

USING

When taking a new respirator from its box:
1. Check the condition of the respirator before use.

2. Fit the respirator and check leak-tightness before entering the contaminated area.

3. Wear it for the whole duration of exposure to contaminants.

4. Discard it and replace with a new one if:

  • it is removed while in a contaminated area
  • excessive clogging causes breathing difficulty or discomfort
  • it becomes damaged
  • for respirators offering relief against nuisance odors, the smell becomes detectable. Do not alter the respirator. Leave the contaminated area if dizziness, irritation or other distress occurs.

Warning

WARNING

The respirator shall not be used for more than one shift if it is for single shift use (« NR »). Keep unused respirators in their closed box and store in a non-contaminated area.

Cleaning

CLEANING

Applicable only on the re-useable respirators (« R »). If the respirator is to be used for more than one shift, the face seal must be cleaned with a wipe impregnated with a cleaning and disinfecting solution, without alcohol. Products comply with the testing standard GB2626-2006 equivalent to the European EN 149 standard for Personal Protective Equipment and subsequent amendments. Sort out your waste by respecting the regulations in force.

Respirator Comparison

RESPIRATOR COMPARISON

What is a Protective Respirator?
Respirator protect you against solid dust particles, fibres, microorganisms, mists and aerosols (suspended droplets and dust). Work environments often conceal hazards such as viruses (Covid-19) that are not immediately recognised. Such a hazard can cause infection spread, permanent damage to your health, and in the worst case even be life-threatening.

What is FFP?
Respirator marked with the code FFP stands for ‘filtering facepiece’. This shows what and how many particles of suspended dust, mist, fibres, bacteria, are filtered. Respirator protects from high levels of airborne particles (Coughs, sneezes, dust, grain, etc.)

Three classes of FFP: FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3; higher the number, better the protection.

Lets compare the different types of FFP and Mask

FFP1 FFP2 FFP3 Mask
Protection Respirator protects the person wearing it, but not the surrounding people Respirator protects the person wearing it and the surrounding people. Heavy duty protection for everyone Basic mask, and people wear it when they are experiencing mild symptoms
Dust Reduction By 4 By 10 By 20 None
Prevents It stops the aerosol and small water droplets which often contain most of the virus. Protects against solid and liquid irritating aerosols. Advisable for high levels of airborne particles and toxic conditions It does not protect you from others around you who might have symptoms or a viral infection.

FFP2 vs N95 vs KN95
All respirator are graded based on how much protection they offer. Each country has a different grading system for the equivalent respirators. FFP2 is the UK/EU version, N95 is the US version and KN95 is the version used in China.

All these respirators offer the same level of protection and they protect against materials at concentrations up to 12x OEL or 10x APF (assigned protection factor).
